Info About Amazon & Amazon Store
Amazon is the world's largest e-commerce retailer and has been for the better part of the last decade. Founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994, it was initially an online bookstore. Today, Amazon has every possible consumer product and provides technical services on a huge scale throughout the world.
History
Amazon went public in 1997 and soon started offering video games, movies, songs and other means of entertainment on their store. With the advent of Amazon Web Services or AWS in 2002, Amazon became the giant it is today. With their expanding horizons, Amazon even ventured into the food business, procuring the Whole Foods supermarket chain in 2017.
Products
The Amazon marketplace includes almost all kinds of electronic media, this includes songs, movies, TV shows, games and more. With the reveal of Amazon Prime video and music, they have begun to focus on providing streaming services also.
Amazon is well known for its recent releases of Alexa devices. Amazon Alexa is a digital assistant and comes bundled with their line of home products, which serve as a speaker as well as an all in one manager if it's placed in a connected home. Apart from the home devices, they have the Fire TV, which serves as a multimedia connector for any TV. They also have the Kindle line of eBooks which feature a classic strain-free reading experience with their signature screen and fonts.
All of these are barely scratching the surface when it comes to Amazon, the majority of it being their online market which features both businesses to the consumer as well as a consumer to consumer forms of sale. These sales are moved along with the help of Amazon's historical rating systems which allow consumers to rate the products and it's featured. Amazon is one of the few marketplaces that don't censor negative reviews, and this helps makes sure that the customer gets exactly what is advertised.
